Gerd Valchars hat mit Sushila unter anderem \u00fcber die \npr\u00e4genden Ereignissen der letzten 30 Jahre gesprochen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Im Gr\u00fcndungsjahr der Initiative Minderheiten 1991 war Sushila  Mesquita 16. Politisch aktiv war Sushila damals noch nicht, aber die  1990er Jahre waren eine bewegte und bewegende Zeit. Das Lichtermeer und  das rassistische \u201eAusl\u00e4ndervolksbegehren\u201c der FP\u00d6 1993, die t\u00f6dlichen  Bombenanschl\u00e4ge gegen Roma in Oberwart 1995 und die Kriege des  auseinanderbrechenden Jugoslawiens sind Sushila r\u00fcckblickend am  deutlichsten und pr\u00e4gendsten in Erinnerung. Das Studium an der Uni  lieferte sp\u00e4ter das theoretische Werkzeug f\u00fcr jene Erfahrungen mit  Rassismus und Heteronormativit\u00e4t, die Sushila gemacht hatte, noch lange  Zeit bevor sie Sushila als solche h\u00e4tte benennen k\u00f6nnen. Die Uni war es  schlie\u00dflich auch, \u00fcber die Sushila 2004, in der Zeit von Schwarz-Blau,  den Weg zur Initiative Minderheiten gefunden hatte.
